New insecticide combination of Permethrin and Diflubenzuron for 100% control of lice on lactating and non-lactating dairy cattle, beef cattle, calves and horses. Insect Growth Regulators (IGR’s) such as diflubenzuron are a relatively new group of compounds that act to inhibit the development and disposition of chitin. Chitin is a necessary component in the exoskeleton of most insects including lice. As lice grow, they shed their old cuticle and form a new one at each nymphal stage. Diflubenzuron acts by inhibiting the development of new chitin and nymphs fail to develop into subsequent stages.
