Description

ULTRABAC® 7/SOMUBAC® consists of killed, standardized cultures of Clostridium chauvoei, Cl. septicum, Cl. novyi, Cl. sordellii, Cl. perfringens types C and D, and H. somnus, with an adjuvant to enhance the immune response.

Uses

Use in healthy cattle and calves 3 months of age or older as an aid in preventing blackleg caused by Clostridium chauvoei; malignant edema caused by Cl. septicum; black disease caused by Cl. novyi; gas-gangrene caused by Cl. sordellii; and enterotoxemia and enteritis caused by Cl. perfringens types B, C, and D, and disease caused by Haemophilus somnus. Although Cl. perfringens type B is not a significant problem in North America, immunity is provided by the beta toxoid of type C and the epsilon toxoid of type D. 

Features

- Bacterin-toxoid contains agents for protection against these specific cattle infections: blackleg, malignant edema, black disease, sordellii infection, enterotoxemia, overeating disease, Haemophilus somnus.

- Contains three isolates of H. somnus, isolated from bovine respiratory tissue, the reproductive tract and the central nervous system.

- Standardized blend of all components avoids antigenic interference and assures an optimum immune response.

- Protection is achieved with an adsorptive adjuvant.

- Produced free of serum, to minimize the possibility of post-vaccination reactions.

- Highly syringeable—mixes easily, even in cold weather
