Description
Join fellow producers and veterinarians who take management to a new level with ScourGuard 4 KC. This proven product, which is administered to the pregnant dam, has been protecting calves for more than 14 years. Cows and first-calf heifers administered ScourGuard deliver antibody-rich colostrum that protects against the major causes of calf scours: E. coli, bovine rotavirus, bovine coronavirus and Clostridium perfringens Type C.
Approved Uses
ScourGuard is approved for the vaccination of healthy, pregnant cows and first-calf heifers as an aid in passive maternal immunization of their calves against neonatal calf diarrhea caused by rotavirus, coronavirus, E. coli having the K99 pili adherence factor and Clostridium perfringens Type C.
Key Features
Scours is responsible for 62.1% of deaths among unweaned dairy calves. Losses don’t end there, however, as animals that survive can be set back permanently. Heifers that suffered scours early in life tend to enter the milking string later than heifers that remained scours-free as calves. Unfortunately, despite good management, almost all calves are exposed to one or more infectious agents that cause scours.
Broad-spectrum ScourGuard delivers time-tested protection:
- Demonstrates reduced shedding of coronavirus in cows and rotavirus in calves
- Strong protection against rotavirus
- Delivers powerful, tissue-friendly protection
Packaging
ScourGuard is available in 10-dose and 50-dose vials.
