Triangle 9 + Type II BVD and Triangle 4 + Type II BVD vaccines contain specific protection against Type II BVDV. Available from veterinarians and animal health suppliers, Triangle products help protect beef and dairy catte against the four major viral respiratory pathogens, including BVDV, the most economically important viral pathogen of U.S. beef and dairy cattle. As viral strains in the cattle population have evolved over time, vaccine protection has changed as well. Current research suggests the majority of major BVD disease outbreaks may now be caused by the Type II forms of the virus. The improvements to Triangle 4 and Triangle 9 were developed in response to this. The Type II BVD vaccine provides antigenic diversity for broad protection against newer viral strains.
